Let You Dim Light Shine is Soul Asylum's 8th 7th album, released in 1995.
"Dim Light" is, basically, an angst ridden Soul Asylum (Frustrated Incorporated!), which gave the album a strong composition of songs with smart wordplay. It intelligently mixed songs with loud guitars to the odes with country flavor. The only problem is that it is too perfect, too bubble-gum rock, that makes you wonder where those winces, cracks, growls and banging had gone.
These are my favorite songs in this album: Promises Broken, Misery and Bittersweetheart.
